KIRJUTAVAD MEIST

Which pillow is right for you?

The right pillow depends on how you sleep and what you need from it. Four common profiles — find yours and see what fits.
Side sleeper

You need height to keep your neck level. A firmer, supportive pillow that does not compress flat through the night.

Viscospring Link chevron
Back sleeper

Medium height. A pillow that contours without pushing your head too far forward or leaving it unsupported.

Morpheus Firenze Link chevron
Sleeps warm

Airflow matters. Open-cell or spring construction rather than dense closed foam. Structure that lets heat escape.

BlueCell Link chevron
Wants to adjust

Fill you add or remove until the height feels right. Works for any sleep position, any mattress depth.

NOXNOX × SOFF-ART · Made in Italy

Italian spring pillows

SOFF-ART has been making pillows in Terni, Italy since 1880. They hold the patent on the independent pocket spring system for pillows — the same construction used in quality mattresses, applied at pillow scale. It is not common technology. Most pillows in this price range are foam or fiber.

We carry two products from their range. Neither is private label. Both carry SOFF-ART's name and certifications. We chose them because the construction is verifiable, the price difference from a standard pillow is easy to justify, and there is currently nothing comparable in this market.

What's inside each pillow?

Different constructions suit different needs. Four technologies in the current range — each with a distinct mechanical approach.
Pocket springs

SOFF-ART patented. Each spring reacts to the weight above it independently. Does not flatten like fiber. Maintains structure over years of use.

Memory foam + springs

Viscospring only. Foam contours to head shape. Spring core prevents full compression and creates continuous airflow — cooler than solid foam.

3D microgel

Open-cell structure disperses heat rather than retaining it. No off-gassing. Maintains a notably lower temperature than dense closed-cell foam.

Adjustable fill

Add or remove fill until the height feels right. Works for any position, any mattress depth. No fixed firmness — you decide.

Viscospring Signature

Memory foam on top, pocket spring core underneath. The foam layer contours to your head shape. The springs below prevent full compression and maintain airflow through the night — solving the heat problem of solid foam.

Spacepillow

Adjustable fiber fill — add or remove until the height feels right. Works for any sleep position and any mattress depth. The most forgiving option if you are not sure what firmness you need.

Morpheus Spring Firenze

60 independent pocket springs with fiber fill. Each spring reacts to pressure separately — the pillow holds its form through the night without compressing flat. Cooler than foam because air moves freely between the springs.

BlueCell 3D Microgel

Open-cell microgel structure disperses heat instead of trapping it. No foam off-gassing. Noticeably cooler than standard foam alternatives — a structural reason, not a marketing claim.

Pillow questions

How do I choose the right pillow for my sleep position? Pluss

Side sleepers need more height to keep the neck level. Back sleepers need medium height — enough to support without pushing the head forward. Stomach sleepers generally need less. The adjustable options (Spacepillow, SMART) let you fine-tune height regardless of position.

What does ErgoCert certification mean? Pluss

ErgoCert is an independent ergonomic assessment issued by the Institute of Ergonomics Certification in Italy. It evaluates pillows for head-neck alignment, biomechanical compliance, and — at the 5-star level — real-world user experience testing. It is a third-party verification, not a self-declaration.

What is the difference between a spring pillow and a memory foam pillow? Pluss

A memory foam pillow contours to your head but retains heat and can feel warm through the night. A spring pillow adapts through independent pocket springs and maintains air channels that dissipate heat. The Viscospring Signature combines both — a memory foam layer on top of a spring core — which addresses the heat problem of solid foam.

How long does a good pillow last? Pluss

Fiber and foam pillows typically lose their shape after 1–3 years. Spring-core pillows maintain their structure significantly longer because the springs do not deform under normal use. A reasonable lifespan for a quality spring pillow is 5–8 years with normal care.

What is an adjustable pillow? Pluss

An adjustable pillow lets you add or remove fill to change its height and feel. The Spacepillow uses a fiber fill you can pull out through the zipper. The SMART Pillow uses four separate inserts you combine or remove. Both let you match the pillow to your exact preference rather than choosing a fixed firmness.

What does OEKO-TEX certification mean? Pluss

OEKO-TEX Standard 100 means every component in the pillow — fill, springs, cover — has been independently tested for harmful substances. It is a certificate issued by an independent testing body, not a brand claim.

Is a cooling pillow actually cooler? Pluss

It depends on the construction. Pillows with open-cell microgel or internal air channels (spring structure, perforations) do maintain a lower temperature than dense closed-cell foam. The BlueCell and Viscospring Signature both have structural reasons for their temperature performance — not just a marketing label.
