6A Mulberry silk — what it means
Silk or cotton — what's the difference?
Cotton is the default. It's familiar, it's cheap, and it's quietly working against you every night.
Cotton absorbs — moisture from your skin, the serum you applied before bed, the natural oils your hair needs. It creates friction. That friction breaks hair, creases skin, and disrupts sleep you don't get back.
Silk does the opposite. It doesn't absorb. It doesn't pull. The surface is smooth enough that your skin and hair move freely across it — no friction, no tugging, no waking up with pillow creases on your face.
It also regulates temperature naturally — cooler in summer, warmer in winter — and is hypoallergenic and resistant to dust mites. Not as a marketing claim. As a property of the fibre.
One pillowcase. Every night. The difference adds up.
What our customers say
How to care for silk
Our pillowcases are standard 50×70 cm — the most common pillow size.
Momme measures silk density. 19mm gives the right balance: durable enough for daily use, light enough to feel the difference. 22mm is heavier and thicker — not better, just different. We chose 19mm deliberately.
Yes — delicate cycle, max 30°C, in a mesh laundry bag. Hand washing is ideal, but the machine works fine for regular use.
Yes. Natural silk is hypoallergenic and resistant to dust mites. All our products are OEKO-TEX® Standard 100 certified — no harmful chemicals.
